The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program prepares everyday people to help themselves, their family, their neighbors and their communities in the event of a disaster or emergency. Among other things, Lee County CERT members are trained and educated in:

  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Team Organization
  • Fire Safety and Suppression
  • Disaster Medical Operations
  • Light Search and Rescue
  • Disaster Psychology

With the knowledge and skills learned in training and exercises, CERT members can help when professional responders are not immediately available. Whether it’s just learning…or volunteering – CERT is for everyone.
